Following a series a leaks last week, publisher THQ Nordic has confirmed Darksiders III will come to the Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC on November 27th. Those who pre-order on Xbox Live and PlayStation Network will be given a bonus 24 hour head start, as the game will be playable on November 26th.
This third entry takes place concurrently to the original games. With the first two focusing of the four horsemen's journey to uncover who prematurely launched the apocalypse. This time players take control of Fury as she battles the seven deadly sins with her signature whip.
THQ Nordic also revealed two lavish special's editions. The collection's edition includes an art book, soundtrack, steelbook case, a premium box, an exclusive armor costume, a copy of Darksiders III, and a figurine of the game's protagonist Fury. The collection's retails for $150. Retailing at $400, the Apocalypse Edition contains the same items as the Collector's Edition but also includes a Horsemen Amulet, wall scroll, and three more figurines of Vulgrim, War, and Death.
Developed by Vigil Games, Darksiders was one of the flagship THQ franchises before the company closed in early 2013. The property was then purchased by Nordic Games, later to be known as THQ Nordic. Darksider's III is being developed by Gunfire Games, a collection of former Vigil Games employees.
